Car Shipping for Geo Tracker The Geo Tracker is a tiny Sport Utility Vehicle although it might not even be able to be called that. The company labels it a mini Sport Utility Vehicle and it remained in production between the 1989 and the 2004 model years. In reality, this really wasn't a new car; in fact4, it is a rebadged version of the Suzuki Escudo. Consumers in Canada are also privy to the Geo Tracker should they decide to purchase one. Further, one may have seen this model in some other fashions such as under the name Sunrunner, of which it was marketed as the Pontiac Sunrunner and the Asuna Sunrunner.

In 1997, the Pontiac Sunrunner model was terminated. It appears that Pontiac must have been tired of the mini SUV market, for they stayed out of the game until the debut of the Aztek in 2001. In 1998, when the Geo brand name was dropped from use, the Tracker was permanently renamed as a Chevrolet. This model was available as a two-door and two-wheel drive model. The Tracker LSi, which was a four-door hardtop model, was later discontinued. Then in 1999, it seems that the design team could not make up their mind given that now all new Trackers arrived available with two or four doors. Thankfully in 2002 the Tracker grew up and a radio with CD player became standard in all models and a roof rack and a rear wiper became standard on all hardtop models. By 2003, the smaller 1.6 L I4 is discontinued and the 2.0 L four-cylinder becomes standard across the lineup. And things start to wind down by 2004 when the last year of its production occurs and the last Geo/Chevrolet Tracker rolls off the assembly line in January 2004. By the end of the year, the Equinox, a mid-size crossover, became Chevrolet's smallest SUV. The Tracker certainly had a heck of a run, but even with all the changes it just couldn't hold up in the marketplace.
